Our lives improve only when we take chances... and the first and most difficult risk we can take is to be honest with ourselves Happiness comes of the capacity to feel deeply, to enjoy simply, to think freely, to risk life, to be needed. It really doesn't matter if the person who hurt you deserves to be forgiven. Forgiveness is a gift you give yourself. You have things to do and you want to move on. Of course, anger can always be justified. But then, so can forgiveness. It all depends on how much more you want from the adventure. Great love and great achievements involve great risks.
My great hope is to laugh as much as I cry; to try to love somebody and have the courage to accept the love in return. What do Appearances mean to You? Are they Worth "Keeping up," or "trying to Maintain" at All Costs? Are they the Absolute Definition of Who you Are as a Person? Is "Image" the True Judge of your Own Character and Value? Do you Strive to "look your Best" at All times? Do the Random Opinions of Others carry That much Weight in your Mind? Will you fuss in front of a full-length mirror for Hours to become "Just Right," And do you Turn that Value against Others who are less "Seemly" to You? Do you Believe your "Outward" appearance is All that you Are? Do you Base your Self-Worth and Satisfaction upon how you Look or how you are Seen? Do you Use your Appearance to Mask the Many Faults within your Soul? Or has your Ego Consumed what Little was Left of your Soul? Is Vanity the Apex to all the Goals, Dreams, and Hopes you have? Is it the Pinnacle of All you can Truly Be in this Life? Or do you simply Cover your Iniquities in a False Veil of Dress? Hoping that Veil will keep Others from Discovering the Truth about You? Things are Never what they Appear to Be, More often-than-Not; they are the Extreme Opposite, An Illusion Created for the Sole Purpose of Hiding the Truth, A Distraction to Undermine the Focus of all that is Real, When you go Home at night- when there is No One...
