3. What must India do to achieve double - digit GDP growth and inclusive development? Is it possible to achieve both these goals?
In my opinion, collaboration is the real key to achieve double -digit GDP and inclusive development. Collaboration meaning working with either opposition political parties or left wing parties to do a task and to achieve shared goals. For example, the decision to allow foreign investment in retail megastore. This is a good opportunity to help the economic growth in india but this had been put on hold just because of the objections by the Trinamool congress . Not only that, the fulfill satisfaction of diverse stakeholders had retarded the benefit of india economic by more than 100 amendments should not happened in order to expedite the economic growth .
Besides, the corruption in india has threaten the not only foreign investor , it’s also include the domestic investor. For example, the misallocation of mobile phone license, the misappropriate of apartments meant for war windows, and the selling of parliamentary votes in the 2008 no-confidence vote. The poor response of government has losing the reputation and even stopped the foreign and domestic investors to invest in india market. To achieve double digit growth , anti corruption department must be establish strongly and rapidly .
In addition to this, the reduction in indirect taxes, expansion of public expenditure programs such as the NREGA, pay raises to government employees , debt relief to farmers , and a relaxation of the borrowing limits of state government are also the optional action to grow the double - digit GDP growth and inclusive development
